What We Do

The revenue seat and the finance seat – filled part-time.

Stoneforge is two fractional leadership practices for owner-led services businesses, $1–20M: a Fractional Revenue Leader (Fractional CRO) and a Fractional CFO. Senior people, embedded in your business, without the cost or the commitment of a full-time hire. Whichever seat is missing – or both – the method underneath is the same.

Why a seat, not a service

Not advice about the business. Leadership that moves it.

A fractional leader isn't a consultant with a deck, or a coach on the sidelines – they hold the seat. They set the strategy, build the system that runs it, and develop the team that delivers it, so growth rests on something more durable than your own heroics. Senior leadership, pointed squarely at where you're trying to get to.

The value is the judgment on the decisions that actually move the business – the market worth going after, the price that finally reflects the value, the deal worth chasing, the hire that unlocks the next stage, the moment to raise. Those calls are made with you by someone who has made them before, many times, in businesses like yours: years of hard-won pattern turned into a handful of good decisions, now.

And it's a standing seat, not a one-off engagement – the strategy carried through, the team built, the momentum kept up – until the business is bigger, worth more, and no longer running through the middle of you.

One method, whichever seat

We find the cause, fix what's broken, and leave alone what works.

Both seats run on the same three phases – Identify the root cause, Release the tension, Rebuild your freedom – carried by a standing rhythm rather than a one-off project. Underneath sits a simple discipline, the Five I's: Instinct, Insight, Intention, Implementation, Inspection. It's how a gut feeling becomes a decision, and a decision becomes a habit the business keeps without you.

The aim, in either seat, is the same: the business stops needing you in the middle of everything.

Not sure which seat it is?

Most owners aren't, at first – the block can be in the selling, in the numbers, or tangled between the two. The two-minute read points you to the right conversation, and the scorecards go a level deeper on each side. No email, nothing you answer saved.
